Know Before You Go

2024 Santa Barbara Walk Against Hate

Hello all, we hope everyone is excited to get moving at the Ventura County ADL Walk Against Hate on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Conejo Creek North Park!

Here's all you need to know before you go!
 
  • We are monitoring the weather and it appears Sunday will be cool (in the 50's) with little chance of rain.  Please dress warmly and prepared for any possible weather.
  • General Check In and Registration will open at 1:00PM next to the Lakeside Pavilion.
    • Pre-Registration Check-in with t-shirt pick up:
    • If you have already registered, please stop by our registration tables at the Lakeside Pavilion, provide your name and receive your Walk t-shirt. While you are waiting for the event to begin, please visit our Diversity Festival and share why you #WalkAgainstHate on social media! 
    • Registration available onsite: 
    • If you are not registered or you still have to pay for admittance, Walk registration is available on site.  The on-site fee is $10 for anyone over age 13 (free for under 13), which is payable by check made out to ADL or credit card. Discount codes will still be accepted for on-site registration, if applicable. 
  • Conejo Creek North Park is at 1379 East Janss Road. Free parking is available adjacent to the Lakeside Pavilion and all around the park. Please do not utilize parking adjacent to the Youth Center.  Please allow extra time prior to arrival as parking closest to our Walk area may fill up in advance. 
  • Attendees are encouraged to bring your own sign to walk with announcing why you’re Walking Against Hate!
  • Walk route map is viewable below -- it is the dark red line and will begin from the Lakeside Pavilion. One lap is approximately one mile. Please keep to the route to avoid obstructing traffic and parking in the Youth Center and Library areas.
  • Please bring your own water bottle. Complimentary water refills will be provided. No concessions/catering will be available.
  • There are bathrooms near the Lakeside Pavilion and elsewhere in the park. 
  • Use #WalkAgainstHate on all major social channels and tell the world why you're Walking Against Hate this weekend!
